***A Walk in my Park***
A little video I took at Chatsworth House, the gardens here were my visualisations for my births and I spent a lot of time at this waterfall and the emperor fountain during my births.
I usually go back to visit at least once a month and reconnect with my happy place.
My antenatal hypnobirthing course is called ‘A Walk in the Park’ because of this beautiful place 😊

Nurturing Families

NF (4)I’m very excited to announce that I have rebranded my business to incorporate my additional services of pregnancy and postnatal doula work, A Walk in the Park Birthing Programme will now be included under Nurturing Families.

Nurturing Families has been developed through a natural organic progression, providing support during pregnancy and after the baby is born has been incredibly rewarding for me and invaluable for the couples I have spent time with.

I created Nurturing Families after realising that the couples and families I was teaching and supporting during pregnancy with my antenatal hypnobirthing classes; needed just as much support, information, guidance and empowerment in the postnatal period as they did in pregnancy.

Any additional services provided in the future (pregnancy yoga, baby massage, baby wearing peer supporter, PND support) will all be provided by Nurturing Families.

March 2017

Here I am with my fabulous learning buddies, my new doula sisters, I had a fabulous week and can’t wait to catch up with them all again soon. I’ve learnt so much from every single woman here, about what a birth and post natal doula can offer and about myself. I’m going to take a few weeks to ‘define the doula in me’ and finish my course work and then I will be up and running as a post natal doula! A lovely extension of my antenatal hypnobirthing classes

At the end of January I attended a Doula UK approved workshop called ‘Supporting Every Birth’. This fabulous workshop taught me a lot about how to help people who have experienced any kind of loss, including baby loss and the loss of the birth they wanted.

It was a really safe environment to be able to talk about our own experiences and encouraged us to explore how to support those who have lost. I really enjoyed the day, even though the topic was a sensitive one, discussing the aspects of baby loss helps to normalise it for people who have experienced it and those who support them through it.

This has really helped me when I’m developing antenatal classes for couples and will help me when I have trained as a doula and post natal doula.

If anyone would like support or someone to talk to about baby loss, pregnancy after baby loss or the loss of the birth they wanted; please get in touch and I will help or give you details of those organisations that offer support

A little testimonial from a fabulous couple who welcomed their gorgeous baby Isaac a few weeks ago. They were calm throughout their pregnancy and labour and flexible and felt empowered to make informed decisions about the direction of their birth.

Very exciting news, I have just enrolled on a training course for pregnancy yoga with Birthlight and will be offering yoga sessions alongside my antenatal classes later in the year! Whoop!

I had a great time meeting some lovely parents and parents to be at the Petite Flea Nearly New Sale on Sunday 5th February, I have attached a little flyer that I handed out that gives an overview of hypnobirthing and my antenatal classes. If you would like to get in touch to discuss, just send me a message KEx
